As anticipation builds for the release of Squid Game Season 3, lead actor Lee Jung-jae has opened up about his mixed feelings ahead of the new season’s debut.
In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Lee expressed his nervousness about how fans will receive the upcoming episodes.
“We are going to be releasing quite soon, I am very nervous,” said Lee. “I know that a lot of you out there are curious about what’s going to happen in season three, but all of us are more curious about how much you’re going to enjoy it. So I can’t wait, I’m very nervous.”
The South Korean series, which took the world by storm with its gripping story of survival and social commentary, has left fans eager for the next chapter. Alongside Lee Jung-jae, co-star Lee Byung-hun, who plays the mysterious game leader known as the Front Man, shared similar sentiments.
“I’m happy with how it ended but I know that the fans out there, they each have what they want to see happen, so I really am curious about how they’re going to respond to it. And I’m very nervous to find out,” Lee Byung-hun said.
Squid Game Season 3 is scheduled to premiere on June 27, continuing the saga that has captivated audiences globally with its intense storytelling and complex characters.
