Popular Pakistani actress Alizeh Shah has spoken out in response to swirling rumours about her alleged plastic surgeries, firmly denying any cosmetic enhancements and attributing her evolving appearance to natural ageing and weight loss.
Alizeh, who rose to fame with hit dramas like Ishq Tamasha, Ehd-e-Wafa, and most recently Ishq Beparwah, addressed the criticism in a candid video on her social media. With over 4.3 million Instagram followers, the actress remains one of the most talked-about young celebrities in Pakistan.
In her video message, Alizeh Shah said, “Please, for God’s sake! I haven’t undergone any cosmetic surgeries; leave me alone. I’ve just lost some weight, which is why I look different. When I did Ehd-e-Wafa, I was only seventeen. Everyone on the set knows that it was my mother who signed the contract on my behalf because I didn’t even have an ID card. How do you guys expect a person to look the same even after six years? I’m currently 23, how can I look like I’m 17?”
The statement came after veteran actress Saba Faisal appeared on a show, where she commented on various celebrities’ looks. When asked to rate Alizeh Shah, Saba stated, “She’s twenty per cent natural. The rest seems artificial.”
This remark ignited a new wave of speculation online, prompting Alizeh’s heartfelt response.
Social media has been buzzing with mixed reactions. Some fans backed Alizeh, calling the criticism “unfair” and urging others to stop body-shaming. One supporter commented, “Stop targeting her, she’s going through depression, don’t pass rude judgments.” Meanwhile, skeptics remained unconvinced, with one user writing, “Don’t lie, Alizeh. Your nose has clearly changed shape.”
