Mahira Khan, one of Pakistan’s most beloved and talented stars, is back in the spotlight with her upcoming film Love Guru, slated for release this Eid ul Azha.
Mahira has dazzled audiences in hit dramas like Humsafar, Shehr-e-Zaat, and Hum Kahan Ke Sachay Thay, and has proven her versatility in films such as Superstar and Quaid-e-Azam Zindabad. Now, fans are eagerly awaiting her return to the big screen alongside Humayun Saeed in Love Guru.
Currently promoting Love Guru across the globe, Mahira Khan recently arrived in Dubai for meet-and-greet sessions and press conferences. During one such event, a reporter asked Mahira about her experience working with Shah Rukh Khan in Bollywood and whether Pakistani cinema has now reached the same technological level as Indian cinema.
Mahira’s reply was both gracious and insightful: “That story is quite old now. You should have asked me about The Legend of Maula Jatt. The level of production in Maula Jatt was unmatched in the subcontinent. The film was equally brilliant like any other international film. Also, technology-wise, I think we are improving day by day. I don’t think there should be any comparison, and you will love Love Guru’s visuals and sound.”
Her response drew applause from the audience and highlighted the progress Pakistani cinema has made in recent years.
