Popular Pakistani actress Ayeza Khan has landed in hot water after posting a message that many fans are calling a “safe” and “neutral” stance amid growing global tensions.
In a post shared on her verified Instagram account, Ayeza wrote, “I stand with Humanity. Humanity comes first above religion, race, nationality, politics, or personal interests.” The message, while promoting peace, sparked outrage among netizens who expected a clearer stance on current humanitarian crises.
The backlash gained momentum when a viral tweet by an X (Twitter) user mocked her post, saying, “simply put; I don’t want to lose attention from my Indian audience.” The tweet suggested that Ayeza’s message was a calculated move to maintain her international fanbase, particularly in India.
This is not the first time Ayeza Khan has been criticized for her approach to sensitive issues. In the past, she faced heat for deleting a pro-Palestine story from her profile, prompting backlash and accusations of prioritizing personal image over global causes. Although she later apologized, many feel her recent actions show a pattern of ambiguity when it comes to taking bold stands.
Social media was flooded with comments ranging from disappointment to outright anger. One user replied, “Jaahil aurat,” reflecting the intense sentiment against what many see as performative activism.
Although she turned the comments off for her aforementioned post and also edited the caption to “I stand with Pakistan #pakistanzindabad,” but continued to receive hate.
As fans demand more accountability and authenticity, stars like Ayeza Khan may find it increasingly difficult to remain neutral without consequences.
