RAWALPINDI : A special court on Saturday handed down prison terms and fines to former prime minister Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, after convicting them on corruption-related charges. As per the ruling issued by Judge Shahrukh Arjumand, Khan has been sentenced to a combined 17 years in prison. This includes 10 years of rigorous imprisonment under Section 409, which deals with criminal breach of trust, and an additional seven years under Section 5/2/47 of the Prevention of Corruption Act. LAHORE: An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Friday sentenced four Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders, Dr Yasmin Rashid, Omer Sarfraz Cheema, Mian Mehmoodur Rashid, Ejaz Chaudhry and three others to 10 years of imprisonment each in a case related to the May 9 riots.
