A landmark five-year agreement between China and Pakistan has been signed to boost Pakistan’s industrial capabilities by transferring advanced technology and providing specialized training. The pact, established between the Guangdong Shoe-Making Machinery Association and Pakistan’s PISMIDA, aims to modernize the country’s footwear, leather, and garment sectors with state-of-the-art equipment. Pakistani workers will receive training aligned with global industrial standards, enhancing production quality and export potential. PISMIDA Vice Chairman Muhammad Yaseen, who represented Pakistan at China’s JISMA exhibition, called the deal a historic milestone, emphasizing its focus on strategic cooperation, innovation, and long-term industrial growth.
