The security forces killed six terrorists linked to the Indian-sponsored Fitna-ul-Hindustan during an intelligence-based operation in Balochistan’s Panjgur district.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was carried out on June 3 and 4 following intelligence reports regarding the presence of terrorists in the area. The slain militants were involved in several serious acts of sabotage and terrorism, the military’s media wing said.
A vehicle, along with a large cache of weapons and ammunition, was recovered from the possession of the killed terrorists. A sanitisation operation remains under way to trace any other Indian-backed terrorists who may be present in the area.
The ISPR said the intelligence-based operation led to an exchange of fire in which six terrorists of the Indian-sponsored Fitna-ul-Hindustan were killed.
Meanwhile, President Asif Ali Zardari paid tribute to the security forces for eliminating the terrorist elements of Fitna-ul-Hindustan in Panjgur.
He said the killing of six terrorists operating under Indian patronage was an important development for the restoration of peace. The president added that Fitna-ul-Hindustan and its facilitators would not succeed in undermining peace and stability.
President Zardari said operations against terrorism under the Azm-e-Istehkam initiative would continue until their logical conclusion.
Meanwhile, Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi has praised the security forces for their operation against Fitna al-Hindustan terrorists in Panjgur.
In a statement issued from Islamabad, Naqvi commended the bravery and professional capability of security personnel for eliminating six terrorists during the operation.
