Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan has once again found himself at the centre of controversy after his younger brother, actor Faissal Khan, made explosive allegations during a press conference.
Faissal not only declared that he is severing all ties with his family but also claimed that Aamir fathered a child with British journalist Jessica Hines outside of marriage.
Faissal Khan announces cut ties with Aamir, family
During the press conference a couple of days ago, Faissal Khan said he could no longer continue his relationship with Aamir Khan and other family members, citing “a heavy heart but renewed courage.” He revealed that this decision marks a new phase in his life, where he wants to move forward with “positivity, truth, and strength.”
The announcement came shortly after Faissal shared a public notice and an Instagram post, stating he had formally cut ties with the family.
Allegations of Affair With Jessica Hines
In his explosive remarks, Faissal alleged that Aamir Khan had a romantic relationship with Jessica Hines while he was still married to Kiran Rao. He further claimed that the superstar also has an “illegitimate child” from the relationship.
Faissal said: “My family was asking me to get married. Aamir’s marriage with Reena had broken and he was in a relationship with Jessica, with whom he also has a child without marriage.”
These comments reignited one of Bollywood’s most talked-about controversies from 2005, when Stardust magazine reported that Aamir Khan had allegedly fathered a son, Jaan, with Jessica Hines. At the time, Aamir denied the claims.
Revisiting Jessica Hines controversy
For those unfamiliar, reports in the mid-2000s suggested that Aamir Khan and Jessica Hines were in a live-in relationship while she was in India working on a book about Amitabh Bachchan. Allegedly, Jessica refused an abortion and gave birth to a son named Jaan.
Later, Jessica married London-based businessman William Talbot, who raised Jaan as his own. Over the years, a few of Jaan’s photos surfaced online, sparking discussions about his resemblance to Aamir. Talking about her son, Jessica Hines had said in an interview that Jaan is a happy kid, and they don’t need anyone.
“When I was in India for a long while working on my Amitabh Bachchan book, William took care of Jaan. He is very supportive and protective of my son. He is a happy kid, he has a daddy now in William, so why should he ask about anybody else?”
Aamir Khan’s family life
Despite his professional success, Aamir Khan’s personal life has often been under media scrutiny. He was married to Reena Dutta in the 1980s, with whom he shares two children, Junaid and Ira. The couple divorced in 2002.
In 2005, Aamir married filmmaker Kiran Rao, and they welcomed a son, Azad, through surrogacy. Their marriage ended in 2021, but both remain on cordial terms. Currently, Aamir is reportedly in a relationship with Gauri Spratt, whom he introduced during his 60th birthday.
Family response to Faissal’s claims
Following Faissal’s press conference, Aamir Khan’s family reportedly issued an open letter, describing his allegations against Aamir and their mother as “hurtful and misleading.” However, Faissal stood by his statement, saying his decision to break ties was necessary for his personal growth.
