A local court in Karachi has issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Dania Shah in a case concerning the circulation of videos of late television host Aamir Liaquat Hussain.
The Judicial Magistrate East issued the warrants after Shah failed to appear before the court and ordered that she be arrested and produced before it.
Court rejects exemption plea
During the hearing, the accused’s counsel filed an application seeking exemption from personal appearance.
However, the court rejected the application following an objection from the complainant’s counsel.
The court adjourned the hearing until October 28.
The case was registered by the Cyber Crime Wing following a complaint filed by Aamir Liaquat’s daughter, according to the information provided.
