Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor is celebrating his 44th birthday on September 28, with heartfelt wishes pouring in from his family, fans and the teams behind his upcoming films ‘Ramayana’ and ‘Love & War’.
Among the messages was an affectionate tribute from his mother, veteran actor Neetu Kapoor, who shared a glimpse of their close bond on Instagram Stories.
Neetu Kapoor shared a selfie with Ranbir and accompanied it with a loving birthday note for her son.
“Happy happy to you Rana. You are mine and I feel blessed,” she wrote, giving fans a glimpse into their close relationship.
Ranbir’s birthday also coincides with that of his paternal aunt Rima Jain. Neetu shared a photo with Rima from a birthday celebration and wrote, “Happy 70th bhoksss from teenage years to now we have shared a lot 😍 god bless and love ❤️.”
She also posted another photograph featuring herself, Rima Jain, Karisma Kapoor and other women from the Kapoor family.
Family, film teams send wishes
Alia Bhatt’s mother and actor Soni Razdan also extended birthday wishes to Ranbir. Sharing an old photograph featuring Ranbir and Alia Bhatt, she wrote, “Happy Birthday to the best man in the house. Loads of love and duas always #ranbir.”
Ranbir’s sister Riddhima Kapoor Sahni shared an old photograph and penned a Hindi birthday message expressing her love for her brother, ending with, “Happiest birthday Rans 💕 Love you.”
Bhansali Productions also joined the celebrations with a group photograph of the ‘Love & War’ team. The picture was taken during a Saturday night dinner outing attended by Ranbir, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal and filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
“Today, there’s only Love, no War! Happy birthday Ranbir!” the production house wrote, while also confirming the film’s January 21, 2027 release date.
Ranbir’s upcoming films
Ranbir is currently preparing for several major projects, including Nitesh Tiwari’s much-anticipated ‘Ramayana’. He plays Lord Rama in the two-part epic, which also stars Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman.
‘Ramayana’ is being mounted as a two-part saga inspired by the ancient epic. ‘Ramayana: Part 1’ is scheduled for an international release on November 6, 2026, followed by its India release on November 8.
Meanwhile, the character poster for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Love & War’ has also been unveiled. The film stars Ranbir alongside Vicky Kaushal and Alia Bhatt.
The poster shows Ranbir driving a vintage blue convertible, with his blood-soaked arm resting on the side, offering a glimpse of the film’s intense and violent storyline.
‘Love & War’ is scheduled to hit cinemas on January 21, 2027, during the Republic Day weekend.
