Indian actress Shehnaaz Gill says she has no plans to slow down in her career, with the actress determined to keep working and take on new challenges.
In an interview, Gill opened up about her growing ambitions and said every achievement motivates her to set bigger goals.
Gill said she does not see achievements as a reason to stop pursuing new milestones.
“Achievements are never something that stop for me. I feel that as I keep getting more and more, my desire will keep increasing. So I want to keep working and continue working. I don’t want to stop,” she said.
The actress explained that she does not want to become satisfied after reaching a particular goal, describing the desire to achieve more as part of human nature.
“Why would I become satisfied just because I got one thing? No, I don’t want to be satisfied,” Gill said, adding that people naturally want “a little more and a little more.”
‘Greed is negative’
Gill also distinguished her ambition from greed, saying her desire to grow comes from wanting to improve her work.
“You can’t call it greed. You can say that I did something well and I want to work harder, I want to do more and I want more. I want to keep doing better. Greed is negative,” she said.
Gill wants impactful roles
The actress also discussed the kind of characters she hopes to explore, saying she does not want to limit herself to a particular genre or character type.
“I’m still very, very fresh. I feel I should try everything. I don’t have any particular preference. I want to do impactful roles in life,” Gill said.
She added that she would be open to taking on a role even if she had limited screen time, provided the character contributed meaningfully to the story.
“If my character is taking the story forward and leaving an impact, even if it was only for two minutes,” she said.
Calling the current phase of her career “the beginning”, Gill concluded, “So every character is welcome.”
