Pakistani actor Hania Aamir has made her music debut with Pablo, a Punjabi hip-hop track featuring Indian television personality Rakhi Sawant.
Released on Wednesday, the song marks a new addition to Aamir’s work, with the actor taking on writing and composing duties for the track.
The song begins with a piano melody before shifting into a Punjabi rap-inspired sound, with Aamir using the lyrics to address criticism surrounding her appearance, personality and public image.
Hania responds to her critics
Throughout the track, Aamir references the attention surrounding her personal life and social media presence.
She also highlights her popularity and “Pindi attitude”, suggesting that her personality and public image have attracted attention beyond Pakistan.
In one part of the song, she responds to those who remain critical of her while she continues to enjoy herself.
Aamir also delivers a message to her critics, telling them to sit down and “breathe a little” while reminding listeners that people are responsible for their own actions.
Rakhi Sawant joins Hania in ‘Pablo’
Rakhi Sawant appears towards the closing section of the song, directly addressing Aamir and encouraging her not to worry about criticism.
“Hania, my jaan, don’t get tense. Understand? Don’t take any tension,” Sawant says in the track.
She also praises Aamir’s appearance and calls her a lioness, urging the actor to face her critics with confidence.
The collaboration brings together two entertainment personalities from Pakistan and India for Aamir’s first musical release.
