OpenAI has introduced a new feature in ChatGPT aimed at improving the user experience, with the facility also being made available to free users.
According to details, under the new feature, files uploaded to ChatGPT will no longer disappear after a chat session ends. Instead, they will be stored in a separate library, allowing users to access and use them in future conversations.
The facility will support various file formats, including spreadsheets, presentations and other documents. ChatGPT will retain these files according to the user’s instructions and will be able to reference them in upcoming chats.
Different storage limits have been allocated for various categories of users. Free users will receive 500MB of storage, Go subscribers 4GB, Plus and Business users 20GB, while Pro users will be provided with up to 100GB of storage.
The new feature will be available on both the mobile application and web version. A new storage option will be added to the settings menu, alongside a separate library menu for images and uploaded files.
