CPEC 2.0 to Prioritise Green Growth: Chinese Consul General Sun Yan

At a conference marking the 10th anniversary of the Gold Ring Economic Forum in Lahore, China’s Consul General Sun Yan said CPEC 2.0 will focus on high-quality development through industrialisation, agricultural modernisation, technological innovation, green growth and improved livelihoods. He highlighted CPEC’s role in strengthening Pakistan’s energy and infrastructure sectors and described Gwadar Port as a key regional trade hub. Speakers at the event, including Iran’s Consul General Mehran Movahedfar and LCCI Senior Vice President Tanveer Ahmad Sheikh, also stressed the importance of regional connectivity, peace and expanded economic cooperation among Pakistan, China, Iran, Türkiye and Russia.
