Spider-Man star Tom Holland has assured fans that he will do “justice” to Peter Parker in the upcoming Marvel film Spider-Man: Brand New Day, set for release on July 31, 2026.
In an interview with Esquire, Holland revealed he has been given more creative input in shaping the character this time around. “I want to do justice to Peter Parker’s character,” he said, highlighting his deep connection to the role he has carried for nearly a decade.
He emphasized how vocal fans have been in sharing what they love about Spider-Man and how that has helped guide the creative process. “We’ve been able to really lean into those things and capitalise on them,” Holland explained.
Character like best friend
Reflecting on his bond with Peter Parker, Holland described the character as “one of my best friends.” He added that stepping back into the role feels less like work and more like catching up with someone familiar.
“It’s a really weird experience diving into the character again,” Holland said. “It just feels like you’re hanging out with an old pal.”
Cast and release details
The film, directed under the title Spider-Man: Brand New Day, will see Holland reunite with longtime co-stars Zendaya and Jacob Batalon. The movie is scheduled to hit theatres worldwide on July 31, 2026.
