Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was briefed by Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi regarding nationwide security arrangements and the overall situation in connection with Youm-e-Ashur.
According to details, Naqvi called on the premier in Islamabad. On this occasion, the prime minister commended the effective and coordinated efforts of the provincial administrations, police, security forces, and Rangers for ensuring the peaceful conduct of Ashura processions and gatherings. He praised the professional planning and coordination that led to the smooth and secure observance of Youm-e-Ashura across the country.
During the meeting, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi informed the Prime Minister that comprehensive security measures had been implemented, including the deployment of additional personnel, surveillance through CCTV cameras and drones, as well as arrangements for water distribution points (sabeels), temporary medical centres, and sanitation facilities.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif paid tribute to the dedication and sense of duty shown by personnel of the security agencies, noting that their efforts helped promote national unity and peace.
He particularly appreciated the efficient management of security arrangements under the leadership of Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi.
