The Indian media claimed that the Pakistani celebrities’ social media accounts were blocked again after the “technical glitch” led to unblocking.
According to details, the Indian government has once again imposed digital restrictions on the social media accounts of several Pakistani celebrities, just a day after they briefly became accessible.
By Thursday morning, the accounts of stars such as Mawra Hocane, Ahad Raza Mir, and Saba Qamar were once again unavailable to users in India.
Indian government sources stated the glitch had briefly unblocked several Pakistani profiles on platforms including Instagram, YouTube, and X (formerly Twitter), featuring popular entertainment content.
The unexpected access sparked confusion and speculation, with many perceiving it as a quiet reversal of the months-long social media ban on Pakistani content in India.
The move came in the wake of digital restrictions imposed following the Pahalgam attack in May, which India attributed to Pakistan. Pakistan, however, has strongly denied the allegations.
The incident heightened tensions between the two countries, leading to Indian airstrikes on Pakistani territory and a subsequent wave of social media censorship targeting Pakistani celebrities and entertainment platforms.
