Pakistan emerged as the champions of the Asian Youth Netball Championship after thrashing the Maldives 60-35 in the final match held on Friday in South Korea, state-run Radio Pakistan reported.
The green shirts remained unbeaten throughout the tournament, showcasing exceptional skill and teamwork.
Chairman of the Pakistan Netball Federation Mudassir Arian, along with President Sameen Malik and Secretary General Muhammad Riaz, congratulated the team on their outstanding performance and historic victory.
Just a day earlier, Pakistan secured their place in the final by convincingly defeating Japan 64-39 in the semi-final. In the quarter-finals, Pakistan also beat the Maldives 49-39 to book their spot in the last four.
The championship, which took place from June 27 to July 4 at the Jeonju Hwasan Gymnasium in South Korea, featured eleven participating teams divided into two groups.
Group A: Malaysia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Hong Kong, India
Group B: Chinese Taipei, Japan, Korea, Pakistan, Maldives, Saudi Arabia
