Iranian media has confirmed that Ali Shamkhani, senior adviser to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, is alive, refuting earlier claims made by Israel that he was killed during the initial wave of Israeli airstrikes on Iran.
The rumors of Shamkhani’s death had circulated widely following Israeli strikes, with several outlets reporting his martyrdom. However, Iranian state media now confirms that Shamkhani survived the attacks.
In a public message, Shamkhani stated, “I am alive and ready to sacrifice my life for Iran.” According to reports, he was seriously injured during the Israeli assault but has since recovered and is now in stable condition.
So far, Israeli attacks on Iran have resulted in the deaths of over 250 individuals, including senior military officials, commanders, and nuclear scientists, according to Iranian sources.
The confirmation of Shamkhani’s survival brings a degree of clarity amid ongoing misinformation in the wake of escalating hostilities between Israel and Iran.
