US President Donald Trump and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman spoke on Friday to discuss the recent developments in the Middle East, including Israeli attacks against Iran.
According to AlArabiya, the two discussed the “importance of self-restraint, deescalation, and the importance of resolving all disputes through diplomatic means,” a readout of the call said.
MBS and Trump also stressed the importance of continuing to cooperate to achieve security, peace and stability in the Middle East.
Separately, the White House said Trump also spoke Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The UK said Prime Minister Keir Starmer spoke to the US president as well. “Updating on his conversations with partners today, the Prime Minister reiterated the UK’s grave concerns about Iran’s nuclear programs,” a Downing Street spokeswoman said in a statement.
