The IT sector has called for substantial funding for the establishment of IT parks across the country.
Expressing his thoughts on Samaa TV on Monday, IT expert and businessman Faizan Aslam said: “Pakistan is the fifth most populous country, yet it lags behind Vietnam in terms of IT parks. The government must allocate funds for the development of these parks in the budget.”
He urged the government to create a favourable environment for IT companies by reducing taxes and offering additional support. “Through IT exports, Pakistan can achieve considerable economic growth,” he added.
Aslam called on the government to prioritise the IT sector and help foster an environment conducive to investment. “IT companies in Pakistan should be given incentives and support to grow and succeed,” he said.
