During a series of high-level engagements at the United Nations, a Pakistani parliamentary delegation led by former foreign minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari met with China’s Permanent Representative, Ambassador Fu Cong, Russia’s UN envoy, and the elected members (E10) of the UN Security Council. The discussions focused on regional security following India’s recent aggression and the Pahalgam attack, which India blamed on Pakistan without evidence. Bilawal condemned India’s actions—including the suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty and alleged support for terrorism—calling them violations of international law. He emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to peace, restraint, and resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in line with UN resolutions. Both China and Russia were urged to support multilateral cooperation and oppose unilateral actions threatening regional stability. The E10 welcomed Pakistan’s diplomatic outreach and emphasized the need for de-escalation, dialogue, and adherence to the UN Charter.
