Punjab government has decided to keep all schools open on May 28 in observance of Youm-e-Takbeer, according to an official notification issued by the School Education Department.
The department has directed all District Education Authorities to organize special activities during morning assemblies, including tributes to the armed forces of Pakistan.
The letter further instructs schools to hold speech contests, patriotic songs competitions, and art exhibitions highlighting the significance of Youm-e-Takbeer — the day Pakistan became a nuclear power.
Winners of district-level competitions will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 50,000.
The notification also states that summer vacations will be announced following the conclusion of Youm-e-Takbeer events.
