ISLAMABAD (DI NEWS) : A devastating suicide blast struck the Jama Masjid of Uloom Haqqania Akora Khattak during Friday prayers today, leaving the nation in shock and grief. The tragic attack resulted in the martyrdom of at least five worshipers, including the esteemed Maulana Hamidul Haq, Chief of Jamiat Ulema Islam (S), along with several others injured.
The explosion occurred at a time when hundreds of worshipers had gathered for Friday congregational prayers. Eyewitnesses reported a loud blast inside the mosque, causing panic and chaos. Security officials and emergency responders swiftly reached the scene to carry out rescue operations, shifting the injured to nearby hospitals for urgent medical attention.
Maulana Hamidul Haq, a prominent religious leader and the son of the late Maulana Samiul Haq, was among those who tragically lost their lives in this brutal act of terrorism. He was known for his contributions to religious education, his commitment to peace, and his role in political and religious circles.
