The Sindh government has signed an agreement with Chinese and local investors to develop the Dhabeji Special Economic Zone (SEZ) under CPEC Phase II, aiming to attract $3 billion in investment and create over 100,000 jobs. The agreement, supported by China’s National Development and Reform Commission, marks a milestone in industrial cooperation. Strategically located near Karachi’s ports, the SEZ offers connectivity to regional trade routes, enhancing its appeal for domestic and foreign investors, particularly Chinese firms. Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah hailed the project as a transformative step towards industrial growth, reduced import reliance, and a sustainable economy.
