Gwadar Port, a cornerstone of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), holds immense potential as a regional trade hub and an economic catalyst for Pakistan. During a high-level meeting chaired by Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal, stakeholders reaffirmed their commitment to unlocking the port’s strategic value by developing a comprehensive operational plan, competitive pricing strategies, and targeted marketing campaigns. With directives to prepare a business plan within three days, focus on transshipment routes, and promote Gwadar’s cost-effective trade advantages globally, the initiative aims to attract international trade, create jobs, and boost the local economy. Efforts are also underway to enhance mineral exports through value addition, positioning Gwadar as a thriving center of regional commerce.
