HARNAI : At least 11 people were killed and six others injured in an explosion in the Shahrag area of Harnai district of Balochistan on Friday. According to the police, explosion occurred near a vehicle carrying coal mine workers. The condition of several injured is critical, they added. Law enforcement officials reached the spot and started collecting evidence. The Harnai deputy commissioner confirmed the death of 11 labourers in the explosion. On Friday, President Asif Ali Zardari swore in Sardar Muhammad Sarfraz Dogar as the acting Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court (IHC). Police successfully thwarted an attempt to smuggle drugs across the border using drones, arresting one smuggler while two others managed to escape. During the operation, two advanced drones and 4.5 kg of high-quality heroin were recovered. The confiscated heroin is worth PKR 7 million, while the drones are valued at PKR 5 million. KARACHI: At least 131 Pakistanis have been deported from 12 countries during the past 48-hours for various reasons, including drug-related crimes, illegal entry, and job abandonment. According to immigration sources, Saudi Arabia deported 74 Pakistanis for drug peddling and leaving jobs without notice.
