Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs was reportedly taken to hospital after suffering a non-life-threatening head injury while serving his federal prison sentence at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey.
The music mogul was transported by ambulance early on Saturday, October 10, according to a report by TMZ, which cited prison sources.
A source familiar with the situation also confirmed the hospital visit to People magazine.
Combs was returned to the prison later that day and placed in solitary confinement, the source told the publication. The circumstances surrounding the reported injury have not been publicly established.
Combs’ spokesperson responds to hospital reports
Combs’ spokesperson, Juda Engelmayer, said his team was working to establish what had happened, adding that the rapper’s health and well-being were the immediate priority.
“We are aware of the reports concerning Sean Combs and are working to confirm the circumstances,” Engelmayer said. “Sean’s health and well-being are our immediate concern, and we appreciate everyone who has reached out.”
The spokesperson did not publicly disclose further details about the reported injury.
The circumstances of the incident, including how Combs sustained the injury and what medical treatment he received, remain unclear.
Previous solitary confinement reports
Combs had previously been placed in solitary confinement following an NBC News report alleging that he had been seen with contraband items while incarcerated.
The latest reports have not established whether his reported hospital visit was connected to any earlier disciplinary incident.
Why Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is in prison
The founder of Bad Boy Records is serving a 50-month federal prison sentence after being convicted in 2025 on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution.
He was acquitted of the more serious racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking charges brought against him.
His sentence followed a closely watched federal trial that drew widespread attention to allegations involving his conduct and business activities.
Combs’ projected release date was listed as March 2, 2028, after an earlier estimate of January 2028 was revised.
