Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will arrive in the United States tomorrow on an official visit, where he will attend the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
According to the Foreign Office, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, along with other ministers, will accompany the Prime Minister during the visit. Shehbaz Sharif will address the General Assembly session and hold bilateral meetings with world leaders and senior United Nations officials.
In his address, the prime minister will speak on human rights violations in occupied Kashmir and Palestine. He will highlight the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and call for immediate international action. He will also present Pakistan’s position on regional security, climate change, terrorism and Islamophobia.
The prime minister is expected to take part in several high-level events, including sessions of the Security Council, the Global Development Initiative and climate-related discussions.
During the session, elected leaders of Islamic countries will meet United States President Donald Trump. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will be among them. Discussions will focus on global and regional peace and security.
In his meetings, the prime minister will raise matters of mutual interest and underscore Pakistan’s role in the Security Council.
