Pakistan’s rice exports to China surged in the first half of 2025, reaching $35.93 million compared to $19.53 million during the same period in 2024—an 84% increase. Semi-wholly milled rice exports alone totaled $29.53 million, while broken rice shipments contributed $6.39 million. This growth reflects China’s efforts to diversify its import sources and strengthen food security, positioning Pakistan as a key rice supplier. Pakistani exporters are optimistic about continued market expansion, expecting further benefits for the country’s agriculture sector and bilateral trade ties.
