Security forces have foiled an attempted terrorist attack on an unoccupied construction company camp in Gwadar, Balochistan, killing seven terrorists and surrounding several others, according to security sources.
The sources said the forces acted promptly to prevent the terrorist attack.
According to security sources, a clearance operation was underway in the surrounding areas to eliminate any remaining terrorist threats.
The sources said three terrorists had been killed on Thursday night during the operation, while three additional suspects were surrounded by security personnel.
Separately, four other suspected terrorists had been encircled at a hotel near the Gwadar highway, the sources said.
The General Officer Commanding (GOC) of Gwadar was personally leading the operation, according to security sources. Operations are continuing as security personnel work to neutralise the remaining suspects.
