Pakistan’s security forces have killed six terrorists in an intelligence-based operation in Balochistan’s Kachhi district, while separate operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa targeted terrorist hideouts and tunnels.
The operations were carried out under Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad-3 and the broader Azm-e-Istehkam vision, with security forces continuing efforts to eliminate terrorism across the country.
Security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in the Sanni area of Balochistan’s Kachhi district against terrorists, according to security sources. They added that the terrorists were successfully targeted using quadcopters during the operation, resulting in the deaths of six terrorists.
A large quantity of weapons and ammunition was recovered from the killed terrorists, while a clearance operation is underway in the area to eliminate any remaining terrorists.
Security forces have also continued effective operations against Fitna-ul-Hind in Balochistan as part of Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad-3.
Hideouts destroyed in North Waziristan
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in the North Waziristan region, destroying multiple hideouts belonging to terrorists, according to security sources.
The operation also resulted in the destruction of hideouts and tunnels used by the terrorists. A large quantity of explosives was recovered during the operation.
Security sources said there were also reports of several terrorists being killed during the operation. The explosives recovered during the search operation were subsequently neutralized with the assistance of the bomb disposal squad.
Intense counterterrorism operations against terrorists continue in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa under the Azm-e-Istehkam vision.
Security forces remain committed to completely eradicating terrorism from across Pakistan and establishing lasting peace under Azm-e-Istehkam.
The ongoing operations in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa form part of continued efforts to dismantle terrorist networks, destroy their hideouts and prevent further attacks.
Mohsin Naqvi praises security forces
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi commended the security forces for their successful operations against terrorists in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Naqvi praised the professional capabilities of the security forces, saying they had thwarted the nefarious designs of terrorists. He said six terrorists had been eliminated in the Kachhi district area, while several others also met their end during the operation in North Waziristan.
The interior minister said the nation was proud of the brave personnel serving in the security forces. He added that the entire nation stands shoulder-to-shoulder with the security forces in the war against terrorism.
