Federal Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal said on Tuesday that Pakistan has set a target of providing artificial intelligence skills to one million non-IT experts by 2030.
Addressing a forum in Urumqi, Iqbal said seven AI hubs were being established, with 20,000 training opportunities to be provided.
He said more than 4.5 million people had so far registered under the DigiSkills programme.
Iqbal said Pakistan had also proposed five key initiatives for cooperation under the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO).

Earlier, few days back, Iqbal said that the Pakistan’s youth are the country’s greatest asset and can lay the foundation for social change.
Speaking to the media in Narowal, he said many of the country’s problems were linked to social attitudes and a lack of information. Iqbal urged young people to become ambassadors of education and awareness in their streets, neighbourhoods and villages.
