Elon Musk’s former wife Justine Wilson has made fresh allegations about the billionaire’s personal relationships and family life in an upcoming documentary about the Tesla and SpaceX founder.
Wilson reportedly alleges in Alex Gibney’s documentary Musk that Musk referred to the mothers of his children as “breeders” and viewed them as interchangeable.
Wilson was married to Musk from 2000 to 2008 and shares six children with him.
Wilson recalls marriage to Musk
In the documentary, Wilson also recalls Musk describing himself as the “alpha” in their relationship during their wedding.
She said her experiences during the marriage introduced her to the term “gaslighting”, describing how she was made to feel inadequate.
The allegations form part of a wider examination of Musk’s personal life and relationships in the documentary.
Claims involving transgender daughter
The documentary also addresses Musk’s relationship with his daughter Vivian, who is transgender.
Wilson alleges that Musk cut off Vivian’s health insurance after she came out and has not attempted to repair their relationship.
According to Wilson, Musk did ask her to pass on a message saying he would “always love her.”
These claims have not been independently established by the documentary’s release material.
Musk rejects documentary’s claims
Musk did not participate in the documentary and has reportedly described it as a “hit piece”.
His attorney, Alex Spiro, has threatened legal action and accused the filmmakers of falsely suggesting that Musk manipulated the 2024 US presidential election.
Musk’s representatives have also alleged that the documentary team did not give him an adequate opportunity to respond to its claims.
A spokesperson for the production company has defended the film, describing it as fact-driven.
Musk’s growing family
The documentary comes amid continued attention on Musk’s expanding family.
A previous Wall Street Journal report claimed Musk referred to his children as a “legion” and discussed having more children through surrogacy.
The report also alleged that Musk used X to seek out women interested in having children with him.
Musk has six children with Wilson, one with Ashley St. Clair, three with musician Grimes and four with Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis, according to the report cited by the source.
The documentary Musk is scheduled for release on October 16.
