Authorities have implemented a new security plan around Adiala Jail in response to the current law and order situation, with 435 police personnel assigned to strengthen security.
The plan has been put into effect immediately and will remain in place until further notice, with multiple checkpoints and additional security forces deployed around the jail.
Under the new security arrangements, eight police checkpoints will be established at different locations around Adiala Jail.
Checkpoints will be set up at Dahgal, Gate One, Gate Five, Pharmaceutical Factory, Gorakhpur, Chakri and Thallian, with the remaining security position covered as part of the overall checkpoint plan around the jail.
The deployment is aimed at tightening monitoring and controlling movement around the sensitive area amid the prevailing law and order situation.
435 police personnel deployed
A total of 435 police personnel will be deployed to provide security around Adiala Jail. Personnel from the Right Management, District Police, Elite Force and Dolphin Force will also be part of the security arrangements.
The combined deployment will support the newly established checkpoints and other security measures in the surrounding area.
As part of the security plan, all petrol pumps, hotels and shops from Dahgal to Gorakhpur will be closed.
The restrictions have been introduced as part of the enhanced security measures around Adiala Jail and will remain effective until further notice.
The responsibility for supervising the security arrangements has been entrusted to Saddar SP and DSP, who will oversee implementation of the new plan.
Authorities have immediately enforced the measures in view of the current law and order situation, with police and specialized forces working together to secure the area around Adiala Jail.
