The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has planned to launch the Pakistan Hockey League in the first quarter of next year 2027.
PHF President Mohyuddin Wani said the league is aimed at providing greater opportunities to young players and strengthening hockey development at the grassroots level.
He said the competition would also help introduce professional coaching and contribute to the development of a more effective hockey structure in the country.
Wani described the planned league as part of broader efforts to revive Pakistan’s national sport, saying the process of restoring the country’s hockey fortunes has now begun.
