Pakistan Test captain Shan Masood apologised to the nation following the team’s latest defeat and admitted that repeated failures could not be ignored.
Speaking at a press conference, Shan Masood said the players were equally saddened by the defeat and accepted that matters could not continue unchanged after a string of poor results.
He said several issues required discussion with the board and remarked that it was for the board to decide the future of the Test captaincy.
Shan Masood said no major changes were required but stressed the need to put things right. He added that his intentions had always been sincere and that he had consistently worked for the betterment of Pakistan Test cricket.
