A steady increase in the intensity of heat has been recorded in the city, with the temperature in Lahore reaching 43 degrees Celsius on the previous day.
According to details surfaced, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has said severe hot weather is likely to prevail throughout the day today, while the maximum temperature may again reach 43 degrees Celsius.
The PMD has stated that the heatwave may continue in Lahore and across Punjab for the next several days.
Moreover, the PMD has forecast that winds and light rain are likely during night hours after May 19, which may bring some relief from the intense heat.
The PMD has advised citizens to take precautionary measures to protect themselves from the heat.
