Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zaidong on Tuesday met Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, where both sides reiterated commitment to strengthening the longstanding Pakistan-China strategic partnership.
The meeting focused on bilateral cooperation, regional stability, and continued expansion of diplomatic and economic ties.
According to a statement from the Foreign Office spokesperson, the Chinese ambassador congratulated Pakistan on what he termed the “decisive victory” achieved on the occasion of the anniversary of Markaz-e-Haq.
He also appreciated the continuity and strength of the Pakistan-China strategic cooperative partnership, describing it as a key pillar of regional stability and development.
Ishaq Dar highlights “ironclad” friendship
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to further strengthening its “ironclad” and “all-weather” strategic partnership with China.
He said the relationship between the two countries spans multiple fields, including economic cooperation, development projects, and regional coordination.
Dar emphasized that Pakistan values its close ties with China and remains committed to expanding cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.
During the meeting, both sides agreed that Pakistan-China relations are vital for regional cooperation, development, and long-term stability.
They expressed a shared desire to further deepen and broaden bilateral engagement in the coming years.
The discussion also underscored continued coordination on regional and international issues of mutual concern.
The meeting came amid a series of high-level diplomatic engagements by the foreign minister, including regional security discussions and interactions with foreign envoys.
Earlier statements by Ishaq Dar had also highlighted Pakistan’s diplomatic outreach on regional issues, including water disputes and security developments.
