Quetta Gladiators bowling coach Sohail Tanvir has emphasized the team’s focus on finishing the Pakistan Super League (PSL 2026) group stage strongly to secure a place in the playoffs.
Speaking after a 118-run defeat to Peshawar Zalmi in Karachi, Tanvir said the team will aim to bounce back in their remaining two matches.
He highlighted that middle overs remained a challenge for the team, noting that success in this phase depended on performing well in the powerplay.
Tanvir also admitted that the team’s performance in the tournament has lacked consistency, particularly in bowling and executing plans.
Tanvir added that batsmen now possess more attacking options, and bowlers need to introduce more variety to prevent large scores.
Currently fourth on the points table, Quetta Gladiators will face Lahore Qalandars in their next match, followed by Karachi Kings on April 25. Both matches are scheduled to be held at the Qaddafi Stadium.
