Sameer Minhas struck a commanding innings as Islamabad United beat Karachi Kings by eight wickets in the 25th match of the 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League at the Karachi stadium on Thursday.
Karachi Kings, sent in to bat, posted 150 for six in their allotted 20 overs. Reeza Hendricks remained unbeaten on 51, while Jason Roy made 39 at the top of the order. Azam Khan added 34, but the side lost wickets at regular intervals.
For Islamabad United, Shadab Khan and Richard Gleeson claimed two wickets apiece, keeping the scoring in check during the middle overs.
In reply, Islamabad United reached the target with ease, scoring 153 for two in 16 overs. Sameer Minhas led the chase with 58 off 36 balls, striking ten fours, while Devon Conway remained unbeaten on 53.
After Minhas was dismissed, Shadab Khan finished the match with an unbeaten 31, sealing a comfortable victory with four overs to spare.
