Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended warm greetings to Pakistan’s Hindu community on the occasion of Holi, highlighting the festival as a symbol of unity, tolerance, and social harmony.
In his message, the premier described Holi as “a blend of beautiful colors, reflecting social harmony.” He noted that the festival’s traditions showcase Pakistan’s rich cultural diversity and the valuable role of the Hindu community in society.
Shehbaz Sharif praised the Hindu community for its contributions to economic development, social cohesion, and mutual survival. He affirmed that religious minorities form an integral part of Pakistan’s social fabric.
Protection of religious freedom
PM Sharif underscored that the Constitution safeguards religious freedom and human rights without discrimination based on color or race. He reaffirmed that the Government of Pakistan is committed to protecting the constitutional rights of all minorities.
The prime minister urged citizens to renew their commitment to building a peaceful, inclusive, and prosperous future. He emphasized values of tolerance, compassion, and solidarity as guiding principles for national harmony.
