Wedding festivities for actors Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna have begun on a fun and sporty note. Instead of sticking to traditional pre-wedding photos, the couple surprised fans with a cricket-themed celebration they called the “Virosh Premier League.”
As celebrations got underway, the couple shared glimpses of a small cricket match organised as part of their wedding week.
In an Instagram Story, fans spotted a mini cricket bat engraved with their names and wedding date. A medal stamped with “26.02.26” — the date many followers have been eagerly counting down to — added a personalised touch.
The playful event quickly grabbed attention online, with fans praising the couple for keeping the mood light and unique.
The wedding is set to take place at ITC Mementos Udaipur, a luxury property located around 25 kilometres outside the city.

Perched on a hill and featuring private villas, a river and a lake, the venue offers both grandeur and privacy. Celebrations are expected to run from February 24 to 26, with approximately 100 guests in attendance.
While a few politicians from Telangana and some film directors are likely to join, no major film stars are expected at the ceremony.
Poolside games and elegant décor
The couple arrived in Udaipur on Monday along with close friends.
Vijay shared a snapshot of a volleyball game by the pool, hinting at a relaxed and sporty vibe throughout the celebrations. Rashmika, meanwhile, posted pictures showcasing elegant indoor décor and a printed menu that appeared to hint at Japanese cuisine.
The blend of sport, style and intimacy reflects a celebration designed around personal touches rather than large-scale glamour.
“The wedding of VIROSH”
To formally announce their wedding, the couple released a joint statement that delighted fans.
“Our Dearest loves… You called us ‘VIROSH’… So today… we name our coming together in your honour… ‘The Wedding of VIROSH’,” they wrote.
The nickname, coined by fans by combining their names, has long symbolised their relationship in the public eye.
The pair reportedly got engaged last October in Hyderabad, setting the stage for the much-anticipated February ceremony.
