ISLAMABAD (DI NEWS) :An agreement has been signed between China Window and the Literary Society of Iqra National University, under which both institutions will jointly promote Pak–China friendship across Peshawar and throughout the province, and will collaboratively organize academic, literary, and cultural events. The signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was held at China Window. The Vice Chancellor of Iqra National University, Dr. Malik Taimur Ali, and the Administrator of China Window, Amjad Aziz Malik, signed the agreement.
On this occasion, the University Registrar, Dr. Mohsin Tahir, and office-bearers of the Literary Society were also present.
On this occasion, Vice Chancellor Dr. Malik Taimur Ali stated that China has always proven to be a proud and reliable friend of Pakistan, which calls upon us to take large-scale initiatives to further strengthen Pak–China friendship and to convey a message of friendship from Peshawar to the people of China. He said that under the leadership of its Chancellor, Ubaid-ur-Rehman, Iqra National University has been rendering remarkable services in the field of education, and that students are also being sent to various universities in China on scholarships. He expressed the hope that after the signing of the MoU between Iqra National University and China Window, joint efforts would be made in this regard to promote mutual cooperation.
On this occasion, the Director of the Literary Society, Yasir Daud Khan, informed that academic, literary, and cultural events are regularly organized at their university, and that the scope of these activities is being extended to Pak–China friendship so that students may gain awareness about Pak–China relations and the initiatives undertaken by China for Pakistan’s economic development. Yasir Daud also announced that, in connection with the 75th anniversary of Pak–China friendship being celebrated this year, various events will be organized in collaboration with China Window.
