COAS and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir visited Lahore Garrison, the military’s media wing said on Thursday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), during his visit Field Marshal Munir received a comprehensive briefing on the formation’s operational preparedness, training standards, and key initiatives to boost combat efficiency.
He observed a specialized field training exercise demonstrating the latest military technologies, emphasizing the Army’s focus on innovation, flexibility, and adaptability to meet the demands of the modern battlefield.
The COAS & CDF also inspected sports and recreational facilities for troops, highlighting their role in maintaining physical fitness, morale, and mental well-being, which he termed integral to combat readiness.
Field Marshal Munir visited the state-of-the-art High Care Center at CMH Lahore, praising the administration and medical staff for establishing a modern, fully equipped healthcare facility for soldiers.
Zero-tolerance policy
In an address to officers, the Field Marshal reiterated the Pakistan Army’s zero-tolerance policy toward any threats to national security, emphasizing the institution’s unwavering resolve to confront all challenges with professionalism and determination.
He stressed that the Armed Forces remain steadfast in safeguarding the country’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and internal stability, while promoting a culture of discipline, excellence, and selfless national service.
Upon his arrival at Lahore Garrison, Field Marshal Munir was received by the Commander Lahore Corps, marking the beginning of the high-level inspection and engagements at the formation.
