Pakistani security forces eliminated 15 terrorists in two separate operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on 15–16 November 2025, the military’s media wing said on Tuesday.
The intelligence-based operations targeted Indian-backed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) terrorists – Fitna-ul-Khawarij- including top leaders, as part of the ongoing counter-terrorism campaign “Azm-e-Istehkam.”
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), an operation was carried out in the Kulachi area of Dera Ismail Khan District after credible intelligence reported the presence of Fitna-ul-Khawarij militants.
During the operation, troops engaged the militants, killing ten, including the group’s main leader, Alam Mehsud.
In a separate operation in Datta Khel tehsil of North Waziristan District, five more terrorists were neutralized. Clearance operations continue in both areas to eliminate any remaining threats.
The ISPR emphasised that the operations form part of a relentless counter-terrorism campaign approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan to remove foreign-backed terrorism from Pakistan.
National leadership praises security forces
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also praised the successful operations. “Under the vision of determination and stability, our security forces are achieving great successes against terrorism. The entire nation stands with them in this war,” he said.
PM Shehbaz reaffirmed the government’s commitment to completely eradicating terrorism from the country.
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi lauded the professionalism and bravery of the security forces. “Our troops have once again thwarted the nefarious intentions of Indian-sponsored terrorists,” he said.
Naqvi added that the nation appreciates their efforts to establish peace in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and affirmed that operations will continue until all terrorists are eliminated.
