Popular actor and model Nazish Jahangir has said that she is repeatedly dragged into controversies for no reason, adding that the situation often makes her feel as if she has become a “Pakistani Kangana Ranaut”.
The actor spoke candidly about the frequent rumours surrounding her personal and professional life, saying that almost anything she says is turned into an issue, despite having no advantage from such controversies.
Jahangir said that public perception about controversies boosting an artist’s career is far from reality.
According to her, not once has any controversy brought her additional work or opportunities.
She remarked that the constant cycle of rumours sometimes leaves her feeling like the local equivalent of Bollywood star Kangana Ranaut, who often remains in the news for bold or controversial statements.
‘I don’t like controversy — it is impossible to control’
The actor admitted that she dislikes controversies because they are difficult to manage once they spiral online.
She added that she cannot explain the truth to everyone, nor counter every misunderstanding that appears about her.
Without naming anyone, Jahangir revealed that a major controversy linked to her was created simply because she refused a marriage proposal.
Jahangir said she has heard bizarre rumours about herself, including claims that she had secretly gotten married and quit the entertainment industry.
According to her, such rumours tend to spread when she has not appeared in a drama for a while.
