Senior actress Seemi Raheel has expressed her views on Pakistani award shows, calling them fake and devoid of merit.
She made these remarks at a private news channel where she shared her candid thoughts about the state of award ceremonies in Pakistan.
Raheel stated that these award shows are not real awards but rather public events, sometimes organized within Pakistan and sometimes abroad.
According to her, every television channel has introduced its own set of awards, which are given based on favouritism and bias rather than fairness or merit.
She also questioned the credibility of the voting process in these shows, saying that it is unrealistic to believe that awards are truly given based on public voting.
Seemi Raheel added that when fair voting is not ensured even in national elections, how can the voting process of award shows be trusted?
