Pakistan captain Shaheen Shah Afridi said on Thursday that the dropping catches proved costly for the Green Shirts against South Africa in the 2nd ODI at the Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad.
Expressing his thoughts in a presentation ceremony, Afridi has acknowledged the resistance shown by Saim Ayub and Salman Ali Agha, saying, “Saim and Agha have batted well.”
He said: “After losing three wickets early, 270 was a good total. We will make a comeback in the next match.”
It is pertinent to note that South African veteran batter Quinton de Kock named the best player of the match for scoring an unbeaten 119-ball 123, studding with eight boundaries and seven sixes.
