Actor Hamza Ali Abbasi has said that having multiple marriages does not stop men from committing extramarital affairs, adding that the tendency to “hit on others” remains unchanged even after four marriages.
Speaking on a podcast, he discussed personal life, faith, and his views on relationships and morality in Islam.
During the podcast, Hamza Ali Abbasi opened up about his past, personal beliefs, and the reasons behind taking a break from acting. When asked about polygamy, he emphasized that extramarital relations have no link with multiple marriages.
“The habit of hitting on others does not go away with marriage. It is one of the five major sins,” he said.
The actor warned that such behavior leads to “eternal hell” and must not be associated with the concept of multiple marriages.
Marriage in Islam is conditional, Says Hamza
Abbasi elaborated that Islam allows men to have more than one wife only under specific circumstances. He said that divine permission comes with a strong condition — justice.
“God said that if a man can do justice among wives, then he may marry more than one, but it is better to marry only one,” he noted.
He added that multiple marriages should never be pursued as a way to avoid infidelity or temptation, stressing that such reasoning is flawed.

Abbasi further stated that the issue lies in men’s character rather than their marital status.
“If someone marries just to avoid cheating, what will he do when his wife grows old after a year?” he asked rhetorically.
According to him, men who are unfaithful will remain unfaithful, regardless of whether they have one wife or four. The only true solution, he said, is to reform one’s moral habits.
The actor stressed that Islam gives no room for such behavior. He called infidelity one of the gravest sins and urged men to repent and change.
“Those who commit this act will be in Hell,” he warned, urging that such tendencies be ended completely rather than justified through marriage.
